We had a great time filming Watching, thanks in no small part to our amazing cast, Jonathan Medina, Rachel Alig, John Tolle-Barlow, and Todd Blood.  It was a complicated shoot and they all brought their A-game and made it a memorable production.

Watching is the story of Jake Strauss (Jonathan Medina), a freelance surveillance expert who, after a near-death experience with a prostitute and her pimp, begins using his skills to help others who are less fortunate.

This is our second major production using the BlackMagic 4K, and I cannot say enough good things about this camera. It’s dependable, relatively compact, and has a wonderful filmic look that closely resembles that of the Alexa.

The ability to shoot in 4K is extremely beneficial, allowing for a more versatile image that you can rescale with far more quality than a standard HD frame. If you are on location and need to get a Medium and Closeup in one take, you will be glad you have 4K capture at your disposal! 

We are just beginning to process the raw dailies so expect to see Production stills within a week.
