Lucky Auditions…

Yesterday we held auditions in Hollywood for our film Lucky. The auditions were also held to fill more roles in our other feature film Hide Out which is currently being cut as a trailer. We had an incredible turnout. Every 5 minutes, we had another actor auditioning. It always amazes me to see the high level of talented actors we have in this city.

There are 5 strong contenders for the lead role of Lucky. Each actor would give us a different version of the film because they bring something unique to the colorful character. Deciding which version of Lucky I prefer, will exclude 4 talented men. I hope to work with them on other projects as they’re all great. We also saw some very gifted child actors.

This film is going to be a roller coaster of emotions. It’s a wonderful drama about a boy named Peter who not only is going through the tumultuous divorce of his parents, but also is bullied. When Lucky enters his life, things begin to unfold and a high stakes situation changes his life forever.

Some of the roles will be filled by actors I’ve worked with on other projects as I wrote the characters with them in mind. Next week, I will be making phone calls to secure talent. All the remaining spots in Hide Out will be filled up as well.

I’m super excited to shoot both of these films. I will be starring in Lucky as the mom Bridget, Peter will be played by Gabriel Schreiber, and Aiden- the rough bully, will be played by Mason Schreiber. It’s a dramatic film with a PG13 rating for violence, language and adult situations.
