Creative Minds in Post…

As I’m doing the post-production on Playground, things are shifting to make them even scarier. I’m now in the garage scene where Isabella has been kidnapped. I’m starting with this creepy music and stills of her flashing tied-up on screen. I’m using slow-mo with a strobe to create panic and looming danger. It gives the scene a real sense of urgency that wouldn’t be there otherwise. The power of post-production is amazing! As a director coming from the post world, it makes a huge impact on what you can achieve on a shoestring budget. I’m excited to see Playground shaping up to look really intense. It illustrates what I can do in the future which will influence my writing.
