Vanguard is a science fiction epic on the scale of Star Wars.  It’s a unique look at the universe, and the story is filled with colorful characters. As we design them, we list their traits on paper but need an artist to make them visually come to life.

This is the original concept art that inspired ET. You can see that the final result is quite different, but there are definite traits that stayed the same.

Concept art is essential in films that have unusual and distinctive species. The aliens in Vanguard are numerous, and Brad and I are having fun designing them.  We are in the process of interviewing concept artists, and I can’t wait to see our characters take shape.
